Licence to Practice

MLTs intending to practice in the province of Sasktchewan are required to obtain a licence to practice from SSMLT.
MLTs applying for a Practicing licence must certified with CSMLS.
MLTs applying for a Temporary licence must be eligible and registered for the CSMLS certification exam or have challenged the CSMLS exam and be waiting for exam results.
SSMLT licenses Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) in the following practice areas:

         -MLT General (includes Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusions, Microbiology, and Histology)
         -Diagnostic Cytology
         -Clinical Genetics
