Also, don’t forget to review licensure/certification/education requirements that allow you to practice as an MLT or MLA in this province.

MLT:
In order to practice as a MLT you’ll need to register and be licensed with the Saskatchewan Society of Medical Lab Technologists. A licensure application form is available on this website. You will also require certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS). For further information, please visit the CSMLS website .

MLA:
In order to practice as a MLA in Saskatchewan, you will need to have successfully completed a one-year accredited MLA training program. Previous medical laboratory and hospital experience is an asset, but not a requirement. We encourage you to consider voluntary certification by the CSMLS. Again, further information can be found on the CSMLS website.
